About

Six years ago (in 2005) I was immensely over weight at 267 pounds.  Today (October, 2011)  I now weigh in at 198 pounds – well on my way to my goal of 185 pounds.

Back in my HIGH WEIGHT DAYS, My vision was blurred, my cholesteral was too high – my suger was too high too.  I suffered from chronic pain in my back, neck and shoulders.  Migraines were a weekly occurance.  I was always scatter-brained, unable to concentrate.

It wasn’t always that way.  In high-school and college I was a happy-go-lucky, skinny, extremely active brainy sort of fellow.  I might have been called a bit of a geek or nerd, but that didn’t bother me.  I was happy, healthy, and enjoyed many postive relations with my friends.

Then in graduate school my metabolism changed.  Before I knew it I was overweight, always tired, and dealing with pain.

Right now I can say that I am in the best health I have enjoyed since college.  I execise down at the YMCA three or four times a week – two hours each workout.  I run and run and run – about 8k each workout.  I also lift some light weights, stretch, that sort of thing.

Oh, and my mind is now clea.  I am able to focus on whatever task is at hand, be itwriting, public speaking, or coaching others for personal and professional development.

Sometimes I eat a candy-bar.  Occassionally I drink a soda.  I do love good BBG and pizza.  But  I have learned that most of the time it is better to say NO to these thing.  I usually eat a big  salad or veggie plate and I drink a lot of water.

If you go to my “medicine chest” the one thing you will not find is medicine.  Now understand, if the doctor said “take this pill or you will get sick and die” – I would TAKE THE PILL.  I am not some “alternative medicine nut-job.”  But I do believe in taking healthy, proven supplements – like a good “natural” multi-vite, fish oil, calcium, and a few other things like that.  If something NEW gets on the market (and is backed by some good research) I might try it out.  Typically, however, I stick to the basics.

I am a pastor, Certified Life Coach, NLP Practicioner, and advocate for enjoying (not just living) a more healthy lifestyle.

My name is Bill Nieporte and I welcome you to this blog.  I call it “The FreeAgent Lifestyle” because I like the idea of being a free agent, beholden only to God – the one who set me free.  If you are trapped in ill-health – esepecially ill-health that can be control by diet, exercise, supplementation, and a decent nights sleep – then you will not live the lifestyle of a “free-agent.”

You will find a lot of free information on this site.  I hope you enjoy it.  Yes, there will be some links for products and services  related to the topic of the site.  I make no apologies for that.  At first, I hope to make enough to keep this blog and a few others up-and-running.  Then I hope to supplement my income a bit.  In time, I hope to supplement my income enough to save the church I pastor a few bucs each pay-period.

Do know that any product here will come with a money-back guarantee by the distributor.  I won’t allow it to be linked otherwise.

Here’s an important “disclosure statement” so we are all on the same page.
